There are over 40 different cartridges available in the expanding Cricut Cartridge Library! Each cartridge has its own unique theme and style of designer font or shapes. Create thousands of combinations in shapes and sizes with a single cricut cartridge.
Each cartridge purchased comes in a sturdily constructed box with a magnetic closure, your corresponding soft touch keypad overlay with easy to identify letters, numbers, symbols and sayings and an imaginative Idea Booklet and resource guide specific to the cartridge purchased. The book is full of information and detailed images to help you utilise the cartridge to its full potential. With each Cricut™ machine purchased comes the George and Basics Shapes™ Cartridge.

What stock can a Cricut™ machine cut?
Cricut™ can cut printer paper, cardstock, vellum, vinyl and magnetic paper.
The Cricut™ Personal Electronic Cutter™ can cut a wide range of paper from vellum to cardstock up to 0.5mm thick. Provo Craft have created a large range of cardstock pads and designer paper pads that coordinate with the Cricut™ shape cartridges. These 6”x12” papers fit perfectly in the Cricut™ machine however you can set the machine to cut from smaller sheets of paper – no waste!

What size does the Cricut™ machine cut?
Cricut™ cuts letters and shapes in sizes from 1” up to 5.5” tall.
Using the Cricut™ cutting mat 6”x12”, Cricut™ cuts letters and shapes in sizes from 1” (2.5cm) up to 5.5” (14cm) tall, plus phrases, titles and borders up to 11.5” (29.2cm) long. Simply use the Size Dial on your Cricut™ to choose one of the eleven size settings. This will determine the height of your finished cuts. (Sizes go up in increments of a quarter of an inch starting at 1”)

What special features does the Cricut™ have?
There are Creative Features built into every Cricut™ cartridge.
The Creative Features built into every Cricut™ cartridge allow you to add special effects to letters, shapes and phrases. Creative Features vary from cartridge to cartridge and provide a multitude of creative options. There are literally thousands of custom combinations you can use to make each project uniquely your own. Two of the most common Creative Feature keys offered on Cricut™ cartridges are the Shadow and Shadow Black/Blockout keys. The shadow feature is available on all Cricut™ font and shape cartridges. When selected this Feature creates a proportionally larger shadow image of every letter, shape, or phrase that is selected. The Shadow Blackout Feature is a solid version of the Shadow Feature so now you can showcase your beautiful patterned papers.
